Green Pod Recycling Bin Review [Ad]

Recycling at home is an easy way to lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle. It means that less rubbish is being taken to landfill and our countryside remains clean and tidy. With brands also making sure that their packaging is either recyclable or compostable, there really is no excuse not to recycle.

That being said, unless you have space to store your recycling until collection day the thought of having lots of boxes and cans scattered around your home is hardly an attractive one!

This is where the Green Pod Recycling Bin comes in helpful.

Store, separate, and transport

The Green Pod Recycling Bin is an innovative new way to store your recycling, keeping it separated, and then either transporting it to your outside bin or your local recycling centre.

Made from recycled materials, it can hold up to 120kg worth of recycling. It is also waterproof and comes with its own zip-up lid, meaning you can leave it outside on collection days without the contents getting soggy! If, however, something inside spills or leaks then all compartments are wipeable and can be machine washed.

Setup

The recycling bin comes with three separate compartments that sit in a sturdy outer bag. The outer bag itself comes with handles and a zip-up lid.

When it arrives, it comes completely flat-packed, however assembly is easy and self-explanatory (although instructions and walk-through videos can be found on the Green Pod Recycling Bin website). Simply place the black vinyls into the main body and the bottle compartment for extra structure. These also Velcro together for extra stability.

Once assembled, the compartments are dedicated to three main categories; cardboard and paper, glass, and plastic and tin cans. They also have their own handles for easy transport. When not in use, the main compartment can be zipped up.

Each compartment is a generous size, whilst also being the perfect size and shape to fit into shopping bags or the foot-well of your car. If you prefer not to use the compartments, that’s also fine as the material used can be wiped clean.

The Green Pod Recycling Bin is £30.00 (RRP), which I think is excellent value for money. The main bag is strong and sturdy, and the handles are chunky and equally as strong.

I really like the fact that you can stick it in the washing machine, meaning you can keep everything clean and smelling fresh! I also really like the fact that you can close the lid, reducing any lingering smells prior to collection day.
