I hope your spaces are safe and people's words are kind. I hope your cup overflows and your businesses flourish. I wish you joy and happiness, and everything in between.

To our allies, may your support be vocal, genuine and true. Unwavering, constant and relentless.

To the 'phobes out there, I hope your pillows are always warm on both sides and autumnal leaves never crunch. I hope your cola is always flat and your bed is never free from toast crumbs. May your comfort this month resemble standing on Lego and upturned plugs.

This one was a good one. As well as managing to get out and about more, we even got to squeeze in a trip to France! The blossom was still really blossoming, and this month was the beginning of a long overdue declutter!

What people think we want during Pride Month Vs What we ACTUALLY want during Pride Month... 🏳️‍🌈

On the eve of #PrideMonth, this is your timely reminder that Pride isn't just a chance to ✨pArTy✨ and put out some rainbow bunting, it's a protest. Sure, over the years, we've taken the opportunity to celebrate with one another also, but too often our history of how it came to be is erased. Instead, it's replaced with hollow promises or statistics made of swiss cheese placed under the guise of "allyship".

Quite frankly, as much as I adore celebrating how awesome my community is, I'm so over with what it has become for brands and the media. Don't get me wrong, some brands and organisations are getting it right, but there are too many that just aren't.

❤️ Don't tell me that #LoveIsLove when policies, laws and legislations are being written to harm us.
🧡 I don't care for your £12.50 t-shirt if our charities are only getting 50p from sales, and only that.
💛 I really don't want to be your token educator when you're not willing to listen to or promote my voice the remaining 11 months of the year.
💚 What are you really doing for your #LGBTQ employees behind the scenes? You know, the same ones you've just shoved on a poster in the name of "Diversity and Inclusion".
💙 No, I don't want to suddenly speak on your podcast in June or write you an article about what #Pride means to me.
💜 Rainbows aren't going to help the thousands of Trans people who are still trying to get equal and equitable access to healthcare.

For us, Pride SHOULD be a celebration of our wins and triumphs. It should be an opportunity for us to be highlighted and put on a pedestal. But instead, we're still at the stage of reminding folks to include us in spaces. Intersectionality is still an issue when it comes to representation, and, quite often, we don't even feel safe! More so now than ever before.

If you do anything during this Pride Month, please challenge any BS you see on here. Don't accept poor attempts at allyship and call out any exploitation. Support #LGBT folk, especially their businesses, as well as our charities and organisations.

Pride is a protest and should never be for profit.

I think Summer is finally here, lads... ☀️

Annoyingly, we finally get his bike back out after the longest ever winter and he's outgrown it... Again 🤦. Did we tell you that he's also outgrown his car seat? That was another milestone I wasn't quite ready for! 😭

Anyway, despite looking like a circus clown on a pedal cycle, it still didn't stop him giving it a good go, though. In fact, he smashed it. He was chuffed to bits with himself.

Now that the summer is finally here I cannot wait to get back out in the evening sun. It's been long overdue!

[AD] What to expect when you're travelling with @dfdsuk 🛳️

This weekend was the first time we've travelled with #DFDS as a family, and the first time travelling by a Ferry this size for the boy, therefore we're delighted to share our experience - including the Premium Lounge that @dfdsuk kindly treated us to ⛴️

Starting our trip in Dover, it took 2 hours to get to Calais, although this went surprisingly quick thanks to everything you can find on board. As well as plenty of space to walk around and windows to gaze out of, there's also a Duty Free as well as a café and restaurant. 🍽️

The Premium Lounge was the real treat for us, though, with chaise lounge sofas, complimentary drinks and snacks, and lots of room to sit and relax. We were really impressed and it was such a great way to start our trip. 👌

Heading home via Newhaven from their Dieppe Port was slightly different in that the trip was going to take 4 hours (!) this time round, although we need not worry as just like their Dover Ferry there was plenty to do whilst on board. After visiting our second Duty Free, we grabbed dinner in their restaurant and then headed to their lounge area where we watched films on recliner chairs. We even braved a tour of the outside deck just before the sunset; grabbing cheeky pint from the bar on the way back to our seats. 🍻

This weekend has been such a treat thanks to @dfdsglobal and it's certainly given us food for thought when it comes to exploring Europe. As well as France, DFDS also have a number of ports dotted around Europe; from Amsterdam to Copenhagen!
