Little Boy’s Birthday on the Way? Check Out My Gift Guide!

When you have children, you love them, raise them and spend most of your time with them… So, you’d think that finding them the perfect birthday gift would be a straightforward job. However, this is not always the case! If your child has a large extended family, or perhaps they have a birthday party planned, then finding them something that’s unique can be difficult.

If you’re struggling for inspiration, then don’t panic just yet. You’ll find a whole list of gifts suitable for boys on Wicked Uncle, but to help you further I’ve come up with four gift ideas that I think your little boy will love. Here’s my gift guide…

Tickets

When was the last time you spent some quality time with your son? Work, modern life and everything that comes with it, often makes that 121 time a little hard to find. So, why not treat your son to some tickets to a special event that just the two of you can attend?

From a stage show featuring their favourite characters, to a football match watching their favourite team. If they’re a little older then tickets to their first gig will certainly go down well. Just be prepared to have to wait for them outside in the car rather than cramping their style in the front row!

Update their kit

Got a budding footballer at home? Or maybe their hobby is something on the creative side? Whatever their passion is right now, treating them to some new equipment or kit will be hugely appreciated. I’m thinking new football boots or jerseys, a new skateboard or inline skates, a new magnifying glass for your little explorer or maybe even a beginners survival kit if your son loves the outdoors. Indulge and encourage every hobby they have.

Of course, they may not seem so keen on some activities in the next couple of years, but they’ll always remember how much you supported them.

Lessons

Does your child want to master something? Or maybe they’d like to experiment with something new? Treating your son to a couple of lessons in a new interest or skill can open up their world and take them to places you never thought possible.

Swimming lessons, horse riding, or even a musical instrument are great places to start. Check out your local community centre or social media pages to find out what classes are available in your local area.

Something charitable

The perfect gift for the child who has everything. What could be better than giving something back? Introducing the gift of charity and kindness is a birthday present they’ll never forget and there are lots of different ways they can make a difference. They could sponsor a child and receive regular updates from them or sponsor an endangered animal or guide dog.

If your son is an animal lover at heart then why not volunteer them for a couple of hours work at the local dog shelter? Not only are they making a difference, but they’ll also get something out of their kindness in return.
