Days Out: Newquay Aquarium, Cornwall

We’ve always been suckers for an Aquarium, often looking if a town or city has one if we’re visiting somewhere new or when we’re on holiday, which makes it no surprise that when we visit Cornwall we always visit Newquay Aquarium.

Located right down on the seafront, just off the main high street, it’s another one of our favourite places to visit as it’s the perfect size to visit for a morning before heading to explore the town or spend the afternoon at the beach.

We spent our first full day of our holiday here as it was just down the road to where we were staying in Perranporth. Here’s what we got up to.

Days Out: Healey’s Cyder Farm, Cornwall

We’ve been visiting Healeys Cyder Farm ever since we visited Cornwall over ten years ago, although back then it was just called the ‘Cornish Cyder Farm’! Here’s what we got up to when we visited recently during our trip to Cornwall.

Days Out: Eden Project, Cornwall [AD – Press Trip]

It was over ten years ago when Sharon and I first visited the Eden Project. We had just started dating and it was also our first proper holiday together. Embarrassingly, it didn’t start off too well due to the fact that I was completely unaware how bad Sharon suffered with Hayfever. She’s much better now, but at the time it probably wasn’t the best suggestion to take someone with Hayfever and mild Asthma to a place with tropical, hilly climates and thousands of plants(!).

That being said, despite the situation at hand, we still had a wonderful time, because the Eden Project is just that kind of place. It’s an awe inspiring mecca of sustainable living where you leave feeling incredibly motivated and empowered. A real Cornish gem.

If you haven’t been to the Eden Project, or would like to know more, let me explain what it’s about.
