Discovery Dinosaur 3D Jigsaws [Review & Giveaway!]
We’ve always been fans of Jigsaws, with weekends often being the prime time we complete Jigsaw puzzles. They’re relaxing, and they generally keeps T occupied for quite some time as he busies himself finding random groups of pieces – never the edges first!
In comparison to other Jigsaws we’ve completed in the past – and we’ve done a few – Discovery Dinosaur 3D Jigsaws by Bort Shopping are a little bit different. Thanks to the pieces being lenticular – creating a brilliant 3D optical illusion – they take a bit more concentration to complete.
The lovely folks at Bort Shopping (and Kidicraft who make these gorgeous jigsaws) recently sent us three to try out – a T-Rex, a pair of Raptors and a Triceratops – and after a few days we’ve finally completed them! If you’d like to win a set of three jigsaws pr take advantage of a great deal, carry on reading!
Images in motion
Each of the Discovery Dinosaur 3D Jigsaws are made up of 150 pieces measuring 46 cm x 31 cm, and are manufactured using Prime 3D lenses to give motion to the images. The boxes are a rip top opening but you can close them by tucking the flap into the lid. As well as the pieces, the boxes are lenticular as well.
The puzzles are aimed at ages 5+ but not for any Jurassic Park style scenes but purely because of difficulty. That being said, T had no issues completing most of them on his own, give or take asking for help with some of the scaly parts!
Starting with the T-Rex, we made our way through all three puzzles over a few days – with each one taking roughly the same time. According to T, his favourite one was the T-Rex, shortly followed by the Triceratops. I have a funny feeling they’re going to be permanent residents on our dining table for quite some time!
