3 Ways to Live Your Life With Purpose

If you feel like you are struggling to create the life that you want, a life with purpose, or your dream career, then you are certainly not alone. You might be quite focused on the ‘hows’ surrounding your life or career, but instead, it is a good idea to think about identifying what you think your calling is in life.

It can be hard to know what you’re meant to be doing. Especially if you don’t have any particular passions that you want to pursue, in order to live your truest and most fulfilling life. When you know what this is, it can point you in the kind of direction that you want to head in. It also means that you can do what you love and create the life you want.

If you’re not too sure how to find your calling or purpose in life, then as morbid as it may sound, think about what you’d want to have on your headstone or written on your grave markers when you pass on. This can help you to get the motivation that you want. It can also help find the kind of mindset that will help you to take that action to get to where you want to be.

Understand what living life should feel like

Living your life with purpose is all about knowing what really matters to you, then aligning how you live your life with those values. This will be different for everyone. If you’re not being your most genuine self, then things can feel a little foggy. Life can feel like it is being lived without colour.

Being bored, busy, and exhausted is no way to live life. If you feel low all the time, then know that there are things that can be done and you can feel better with the right kind of help. When you live life as you want to, then it won’t make life easier. But, it will make it much more enjoyable! Your life will be filled with passion and you’ll feel much more alive.

Trust yourself

There is no right or wrong way to live. As soon as everyone realises this, the happier we will all be! You need to learn to trust yourself and to not worry about what others think.

Some of the key elements of this are confidence in yourself and believing in yourself. When you can consciously decide that you know what is best for you, then you can trust your instincts and decisions. This can be applied to all areas of your life that matter.

Check in with yourself each day

When you wake up each morning, think about what is important to you that day. What needs to happen during the day for you to feel fulfilled and calm? To be able to sleep well the upcoming evening?

When we’re busy with the daily grind, we can distance ourselves from ourselves. This is why it is important to check-in.

This could be writing in a journal, meditation, or just giving yourself some time to eat breakfast calmly. No distractions of your phone or the news, for instance. Ask yourself what you want, and make it part of your everyday life. Avoid slipping back into some old habits.
