Celebrating Autumn With Bobux Shoes [Ad]

We were recently invited by the team at Bobux Shoes to check our their new autumn/winter collection. We’ve always liked the style of Bobux Shoes, but it’s only recently that we’ve found out they do up to size 33.

I don’t know about you, but autumn feels like it has crept up on us this year. It feels like summer was a matter of days and we’re now living in knit-wear and shoes that cover our whole feet! We can also tell that it’s crept up on us as T is no longer in his winter footwear – he clearly had quite the growth spurt over summer!

To get into the spirit of autumn, and accept the fact that the leaves are now gold in colour and firmly off the trees, we decided to take a trip to our local pumpkin farm to collect some pumpkins ready for Halloween. This also allowed us to fully test out T’s new shoes!

At this stage, kids are taking action to the next level. Running, jumping and skipping on a range of surfaces, kids push their bodies to the limit and need specially designed kids shoes to keep up with them. The Kid+ Collection was designed to allow their feet to move naturally and connect with the ground, while protecting them from the impact of hard surfaces and delivering superior durability.

For our review, Sharon and I decided to choose the Dimension II and Riley. T decided to pick the ever-so glam Grass Court Waterproof. He’s reached an age where we want him to choose his own clothes and style, and on this occasion he understood the assignment!

All three pairs boast qualities that support and encourage active kids, such as adjust-ability and breathable materials, but let’s break down each shoe!

The Riley is a retro-inspired trainer, but is perfect for special occasions. We chose the two-tone chartreuse and navy option for a cute ‘preppy’ look. The natural materials used mean that the shoe is breathable and designed to keep kids’ feet cosy. For extra comfort and security, the shoe features a double hook-and-loop strap fastening and padded heel collar.

The Dimension II was our more ‘sensible’ shoe, taking into consideration its flexibility and performance. This is their “ultra lightweight durable sole”, made from a mix of merino and nylon knit. It allows kids’ little feet to breathe and remain comfortable.

Last, but by no means least, the Waterproof Grass Court features the Bobux SPLASHTEX® internal membrane. This is more than just a ‘sensible’ shoe this is a durable shoe! This means that feet are kept dry and healthy in wet weather. In addition, the cotton lining offers breathability, whilst the premium leather coating supports playtime and puddle-jumping!

I can see why T chose this as his shoe – just look how shiny and glamorous they are! T chose Cherry as his colour of choice. I think he looks spiffing.

Browsing the other new shoes for their autumn/winter collection, it seems that comfort, style and durability are common themes. I also appreciate how generous they are when they come to fitting. T has notoriously wide feet, however he had no issues fitting into Bobux. Speaking to an expert, they even advise that some children have to go a size lower based on how generous they are. I love this as it means the shoes will inevitably last longer than a season.

The variety made available to us has meant T now has a shoe for every occasion. He also has a shoe for every weather type! We love the fact that it’s his stylish cherry shoes are the most waterproof – who says you can’t be stylish and practical?
