About Us

Welcome! I’m Kate (K) and I’m the main contributor to Lesbemums, and my wife is Sharon (S). This is our blog.

I’m 29 and live with my wife (S) in East Sussex near Brighton, UK. I’m mummy/mum to toddler T. When I’m not looking after a one year old, I work full-time in Brighton. I’m also a geek and love all things to do with gadgets and stationery. I also enjoy walks with the dog, cooking, and photography.

S is 34 and is Mumma to toddler T. S is definitely the “fun” parent; getting herself into all sorts of trouble with T. She enjoys cooking, watching films, new gadgets, and home life.

We met in 2006 and civil partnered in 2012. Our civil partnership was then converted in 2015.

We then found out we were expecting a Beansprout in July 2014 after trying for two years. Beansprout was expected March 2015.

He then arrived in April 2015. You can call him T.

Our first post introduces us into the world of blogging and TTC (you can find our TTC Journey here), but over time we have written about everything from breastfeeding to weaning, babywearing to walking!  As a same sex family, we have also written several posts about LGBT culture and issues.

    Hi,

It was hard at first because I had really bad morning sickness, but once that passed, it was much easier! It is a strange feeling when the baby is moving about kicking, but also lovely at the same time! How has yours been? My wife has been great, very supportive and understand, as have all of our family and friends and so that makes a huge difference!

Time has flown by and I think we are mor prepared for the baby than we are for Christmas! We are very lucky as my sister has had two babies and isn’t having anymore and so we have lots of free clothes and furniture and family are wanting to buy quite a few things too!

Hope all the preparation is going well for you!

    Katie and Trish.

Mine has been great! I feel very lucky as ive heard others can be a nightmare. No sickness, just hunger and tiredness.

Glad all is going well. Thats really nice about all the clothes. We’re pretty much ready for baby and likewise, probably more prepared for that than christmas! Lol. Boxing day will be 3 months to go – cant wait!!

      K
