  1. Because I had no sickness whatsoever, I was totally freaking out that the lady was going to turn to me and give me some bad news! Instead, I now have the most precious 7 month old baby boy! 😀 xx

    1. Exactly! Lots of women said I should be grateful for no nausea but I felt left out as someone kindly advised that it’s a little concerning if you don’t have nausea.

  2. Congrats!!!

    1. Thanks, lovely.

  3. Yay! The heartbeat is the most beautiful sound.

    1. I could listen to it all day.

Congratulations!! What a lovely post! I had already had three scans before my 12 weeks (because of bleeding) and thought it must be so hard to have to wait that long for your first one! I think that you will get on well at that hospital, I used to clean there when I was a student and LOVED working in the maternity ward! There’s a big gay population among the staff there (they even have their own club/society) so you shouldn’t experience any prejudice! We also used to live on St James’s St, well aware of the parking difficulty! Though there’s a good multi-storey on site. Are you going to have a gender scan or stay team yellow?

    1. Thanks! That’s really kind.

It was an awful wait, although I can’t imagine what it must have been like for you guys.

I’ve heard lots of nice things about our hospital, although I’ve always had this trust with hospitals. I think because my mum was a nurse.

Re the lgbt community, I would expect no less from a Brighton hospital but you always have that worry that they assume your partner is just a friend.

We used to live in College Road (we really miss it!) but thankfully Eastern Road was a winner give or take the occasional bus up your backside! Lol.

I think we’re definately verging on finding out, but not for any “prep” reason as it’s not like it’ll make a difference as it’s not like we’re going to go out and buy a ton of pink stuff or boy stuff. Think it’ll just be nice to know… Maybe. Lol. X

    2. Damn that was a long reply. Sorry!

  5. Beautiful scan!! Love hearing the heartbeat!!

    1. Thanks. It’s definately a unique experience.

Congratulations!! My sons birthday is March 26th. (: Wishing you very good luck in your journey!

    1. Thanks! How’s old is your little guy?

      1. lesbianqueen says:

He is 2, a little tornado.

        1. Awww. How sweet.

  7. Oh how wonderful! I was really nervous until our first ultrasound too. I love you can even tell it’s a baby, ours was at 9 weeks and he looked like a little gummy bear.

    1. I know. I didn’t expect that at all. I thought it would be more blobbish. Lol.
Its still quite a nerve wracking experience this pregnancy malark – you just don’t know what’s going on.
