    Love a good National Trust property – they can be so beautiful… We recently went back to Woburn which isnt National Trust but reminded me of there beauty… Nice post

        1. We haven’t (not yet, anyway!). We fully intend to make our way up the country, or at least make use of the membership when we go away on holiday.

    Not a NT place but St Brevils on the border between S.Wales and England is a great castle you can stay in cheaply because it’s a Youth Hostel! You can do archery there, horse riding and tours of the castle PLUS if you’re lucky you can have an evening meal in fancy dress of the era with someone telling you how life would have been in the castle
